I do some houses on an estate near the church whose parish magazine I advertise in. My customers are all fine, great in fact.
However, most of the (white) blokes who live on the estate are real social steriotypes. Chavs to put it bluntly, workshy layabouts. They all look the same, they all dress the same and the only time they seem to get motivated is at about ten to twelve when they congregate outside the Social Club waiting for it to open.
The trouble is that these estates are just a dumping ground for people the Social Services don't know what to do with.
I can think of two estates near where I grew up as a kid. I knew a lot of kids on both estates in those days. All the dads had jobs, they were respectable families. Those sort of people have gone now.
