X-Tel replacement section-how to fit?

I need to replace the 3rd section of a 24ft glass fibre X-Tel pole.Have the new section  including clamp but not the know how,and Alex is on holiday.Can anyone advise please?

unscrew the lever.
open the holding band on pop it off
pull the section out

thats it.

do the reverse to put the section in.

I think it's best to buy a new one and use what you have as spares.

This is my concern about the slx. It will be interesting to see if how perform with people using them for every job,

Why the concern? just buy a few, investment always pays so hey, sod it buy a shed full! :-*

I have had mine a month or so now, no signs of wear, im surprised the logos have stayed on as long as they have. I use it for 95% of my work, and the only thing i have found is the end cap keeps falling off. I bought 2 xtels in a year, nice cheap poles, but wear very quickly imo, mind you i dont treat them with kid gloves. If the SLX lasts me a year i will be pleased, its the best all round pole ive owned, well worth the money so far!

Like you i need a new xtel. The slx will be the pole that other suppliers copy. More sections, thinner, and shorter closed lenght. Once this happens there may be a significant price drop. There may also be  mods as the early users test drive and find the flaws.
