If ur doing the roof too, I would try hosing it with tap water to get the thick off, then wfp the lot. If it doesn't come clean, then I would be recommending they contact a cleaning company that specialise in fire and flood restoration work, as doing the lot trad and cleaning the frame work with a damp cloth then polishing with a dry 1will take ages and you may undercharge ,unless they agree to an hourly rate b4 hand.

have to agree with that, thisd roof could well be damaged, \I would quote a min price then p/h after should this take longer, I would guess next doors insurance will be paying for this.

What sort of fire? If it was a house fire its the responsibility of the insurance company to sort it out as windowwashers has said.

I personally wouldn't touch it, it could easily turn into the job you wish you had never started.

hi

Thanks for advice, not one of my regulars but thought it could be a good earner, but will only take on if it is lightly sooted.

cheers

Ask them if its a cash job(ie they pay you themselves) or an insurance job,if its the latter and you can do the clean double your price as the buggers will try to avoid paying until you threaten them with legal action.
