« on: May 19, 2008, 09:58:16 pm »
Off to the local Auctions this week.

I got £5,500 in the wallet.

I'll put pics up once I got, looking for a Kangoo/Berlingo/Partner

Thats what Ive made my mind up for. Payload of 800Kg would be nice, with a 350 litre.

for that i would look at an ex bt transit, i got mine for 6500, at 45000 miles, and it was in really good condition, but you could get it for you budget,

unless of course your looking for a van that is almost like a car,

but i would go as big as possible, makes like so much easier

ok cleaning

i just got a ex-british gas kangoo 2002 mint condition, up graded payload 800kg, 51,123miles, £2500.

IMO propper bargen, best advise i was given is look look and look again. there out there. the money you have should get you a propper gem!

I've got 400L in a Doblo (730kg payload) If I start at 9 am I sometimes run out by 3pm and so have to carry an extra 50L in barrels or go back and put in another 100/150L to last the day. This can take anything between twenty minutes and forty minutes depending how organised I've been.

My advice is that 350L is too small. Go bigger, at least 500 preferably 650 IMO.

If you are extremely careful, don't carry ladders or extra stuff and only have one operator you can squeeze 500L in a Doblo legally - but it's close!

Next time (Oct 2010) I will go for the Doblo 800kg or a bigger/newer van.
It's a game of three halves!
