Escort 55 has a payload of 550kg.

I used to use barrels in mine when i had it and carries 13 and another 50ltrs in the trolley.

That came to 375kg just with water and to be honest with my other bits i was probably over weight.

To be on the safe side i would say a 250ltr tank would be about right.

That

stay with 000 you you will never doubt the water. some go over 10  ::) pure water is 000.

I would say 250L max, people tend to forget weight of the tank in the first place, fuel, trad gear other odds and ends ladders if you have them, roof rack, and your weight.

If you totaled all that up you should be just iner the max weigh by law you can carry (I would be more worried about the handling and saftey of me in the van, can you not get a bigger van ? as 250 is not enough for a good days work.

i have got a w reg 55. got a 250l tank in it. 1 x 12l(ish?) DI vessel, 1 x 100m micro bore, 1 x pole, 1 x surflo pump and all associated hose, 1 x box full of trad gear and on occasion carry a double extension and single piece point ladder. i work on my own so only my weight in the van. when tank is full of water the handling isnt too bad but it is well sluggish so i do have to leave a little bit more for traveling time.

hope that helps
