Hot hose through a window?

What do you use to protect a window frame or other item from the heat of a "red hot solution line"?
I often leave the machine outside and run the hoses through the window, but am concerned about the potential for damage to the frame. The pipe may be in place for 6 hours or more and the weight of the hose is pressing it hard onto the frame.
I use a towel or sheet at the moment, but heat will still pass through them. Perhaps something with foil in it?
Any ideas?

i use a dust sheet folded 4 times to give a thick pad & drape this over the frame & sill.
the heat that may pass through is not going to dammage the surface.

hi there,
just been thinking about this, pplumbers use a heat resistant pad. placed to protect walls from the burner when working on pipework,
theses disiapte the heat extremely quickly
therefore maybe a trip down to the plumbers merchants
just an opinion

I use my hose anchor on the window sill, so the hose does not come into contact with any paintwork.
