People like to see you in person, delivering leaflets has a very low response 2-3 %

Go and talk to the people, it's the best...if time consuming approach !  ::)

My local wc has taken to tying A4 leaflets to the lamposts at the entrance to every road.
I noticed it and read it, so I would assume plenty of others have.

door knocking is a good way of getting work quick, leaflets are also very good.

Not everyone likes a cold caller on there door step, I live in an area where you cannot do this.

leaflets work well over time,

the person sticking a4 sheets to lamp posts is open to be prosecuted if a pen pusher sees it unless he has permission which I doubt. We live in a very sad place.

you don't get any where near 2-3% return, if you did i would be a millionaire!!  ;D seriously its less than 1% ;)

 :D I was being generous with  3% I admit  :P

I did a leaflet drop in an area and got nothing...not even a sniff!

Just trying to save you some time & money!

Word of mouth... ask all your existing customers to recommend a friend...that might get 3% if your lucky  ::)

The wheelie bin cleaners do this already, but it is a good idea. I know someone who used to stick his details inside peoples cheque books and got a lot of repeat biz through it.

I thought about this myself but you would only be able to put stickers on your exiting customers bins, personally i think it would be a waste of time

you cant beat word of mouth and door knocking ive just come accross an area where the window cleaner hasnt been since december '07 so the wife will be busy canvassing this weekend

Brett

ps, regarding wheely bins in most areas now you have to bring your bin in before a certain time and put them out at a certain time or you can get a fine so the bins wont be out for long anyway
