Hi

I will be exhibiting my firms services in the eco village of a very large outdoor County show soon. I have never done this before and wondered if anyone had any ideas.

These are what i have so far

1, live demo's of cleaning rugs/cuts of soiled carpets using pureclean via HWE

2, Get passers by to throw water onto a, a guarded piece of carpet b, a non guarded piece

3, competition to win a voucher for house or suite clean (they all write names and addresses down and I mail them after).

4, Have my own literature around stand along with some independent literature as to why we should choose green cleaning

5, Approach other business's exhibiting in eco village for work

6, Sell (not for profit) eco spotter bottles with logo'd labels

Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks to Spencer, Doug and John Kelly for their advice so far.

Pete

Drink the bloomin stuff! :P

You need some back ground info on what you are selling like what tree it comes from etc and why you are using it and what is in other cleaning chemicals and why you don't want to use it and why it's bad for the planet.

A cleaning offer too good to miss, BOGOF to get in the home to quote, I'd do a clean and protect and get another cleaned for free and then charge them for protecting the other carpet, easy £100+.

Don't forget to keep the names in the raffle to send them a belated offer.

Looks like you got it covered. What I like is the demos will draw attention and you are getting them involved. There's nothing worse than these things and people just walking by.

Hand out 10% discount vouchers like confetti.

Those who enter the competition get a 3 for 2 offer.

Hi Len

I'll ask about the tickets mate.

No its the County Show in July.

As for the rest of your post I can't make head nor tail of it. Wanted to speak anyway as I was gonna ask you for some of your literature to hand out  to Kent people inside the M25. Doing same for Doug, and Spencer and will for Chris as well.

Will give you a bell.

Hi Guys

Pete

It might be a good idea to use recycled paper rather than glossy for your literature, make a thing of it and save some money too.

With all this talk of UFO's today, it's got me wondering whether Len is an alien, he talks a lingo few are familair with in this galaxy.

Cheers

Doug

Shaun

being the all round nice guy that I am I have been offered some onsite assistance from someone that I feel can make the scale of my business look very different in the very near future. I'm sure you can work out who. Who would you want in this scenario?

Pete

p.s. Len, stop sniffing your terry towels after your dry clean jobs ;D

Chris, I need you to post me some of your literature and I will punt you for Surrey/London
