hi guys how do you rate the xtel?
i didnt want to spend to much but not the cheapest either
so i just ordered one what are your thoughts ?

Sounds about right, if that includes a brush and hose fittings.

The 21ft pole is nice and light with a good reach.  It is slightly flexible on full extension though.  Before I switched to more expensive carbon fibre poles, I used one of the 21ft's myself.

only been wfp a year alex and this is the second pole ive bought,first was a 18ft second hand bordox 
id love to get the carbon off you mate but its not the time for me yet mate

I used one for a while, light enough for all day, bit bendy - very bendy when maxed at horizontal over conservatory roofs even with a very light brush. Big improvement over the extels of last year. Keep it whilst you save for an SL-X.

that really does depend on the hose and reels you got all in.

xtels are a cheap pole, an cheap to replace as they dont last that long IMO, but do the job, I use a 17ft daily and they are bashed about alot and at the small price they are no probs as I have a few of them. SL-x is next buy for me when van comes back with new engine.

Sorry to keep going on about the harris pole from b&q, but after using it for the first time today I really can't understand why anyone would want to buy anything else!!! It really is fantastic and for £15 you can't go wrong!!!!!

The 17ft is a better all round pole,saying that the 21ft and the 17ft are to bendy over 12ft.To be honest the old orange version of this pole was of better quality if you ask me,it was far more ridgid and better built.All they needed to do was improve the clamps slightly,I would say that £249 for that pole is way way over priced for the quality of material as they don`t last 5 minutes if used daily.

The pole is the most important thing next to 000 on the meter,it`s an extension of you arms.You will only get what you pay for with poles there are no short cuts or quick fixes,it`s not the same with all products but with poles the price reflects the quality.Carbon quality also varies from company to company,in the van i would have 1xSl2 1xSLX or 1x24ft carbon facelift,i have all these poles but now only use the first 2 on a regular basis.

Facelift clamps are the best there is bar none.

No i`m going to cut it down slightly so the sections are 5ft or maybe shorter,it`s a criminal thing to do but i`ll give it a go.

For the 24ft carbon it`s about £500 all told,you`ll be better off with the SLX it`s an all in 1 up and down pole where`s the facelift sections are a bit to long for that.
