contra invoice
« on: January 13, 2005, 01:05:57 pm »
ive just quoted for the c/c at the offices of my local paper, not a huge job,but the deal that has been struck is,i clean it,and then get free add space, pro rata for the invoice cost,
This hopefully will bring in more work than the cost of the clean,
has anyone done this type of deal before, and how did it work for you?

the price of the clean is £350, and i get 21 addverts,
so i hope the response out strips the invoice value!

hi there,

i always love a bit of contra trading, nothing wrong with that at all., Obviously couldnt survive on it full time.

good luck, any form of advertising, or business development, is better that none at all.  Got an important meeting in about an hour, to launch another bit to our company.  Cash generation ' always useful'

regards

martin

The way i would view it is that the £350 worth of advertising is more than the profit, from the job, would buy  8)

Naturally, you will declare to Inland Revenue these arrangements for payment in kind >:(

Safe and happy cleaning :)

I clean my dentist's waiting room carpet and chairs in return for the odd filling.  Good point Ken!

A friend of mine cleaned a Massage Parlour a few years ago, when it was time for payment he was asked which Young Lady he wanted in payment, he replied he only took cash in payment, they were astounded as he was the 1st person ever to ask for cash in payment!!
I get better looking each day!!
