I use a y reg 2.0 htd. bought it for £2900 in october, 130000 miles, one owner, no history but spoke to the garage that serviced it and they told me that the vans were serviced regularly.

when everything is running right it's a brilliant van, drives like a car.

but... i've spent about £800 on it in 7 months.

2 camshaft rockers have collapsed (on separate occasions)

starter motor needed replacing

exhaust is knackered (have welded it for now)

diesel pump needed replacing (luckily this was in my 1 months warranty)

power steering pump needed replacing. (luckily this was in my 1 months warranty)

now i'm living with a bad air leak from my turbo (will get this sorted soon) and both bottom ball joints are shot (job for mot)

whilst this lot has put me off these vans, they would probably be ok at lower milages?? dunno

all of these jobs have meant time off work as well as the cost of repairs.

happy motoring!

I have an old scudo with high mileage and its a good sized van but as it has no turbo is underpowered so make sure you get one with a turbo
I have had the van for a year and it starts first time everytime and has never let me down the electrics though are a bit dodgy sometimes on startup the wipers or fan will take a few seconds to get going and during this time the battery light is on which might mean i just need a new battery
They are a bit of an ugly van but i have had no probs with mine so far so why am i getting rid!!
