Strange new pump New
« on: May 06, 2008, 09:16:38 am »
I've fitted my new Surflo pump kindly supplied by Roy Harding.

Trouble is, I'm not sure everything's ok.

It's "pulsing" ???
Instead of whirring away, it's going pump,pump,pump,pump,pump...

Not like when my old pump cycled for 2 seconds on and off.
This is quite a fast rhythm and it's making the water splutter out of the jets.

Is this adjustable, or is that what Surflos do? ???

Take the brush off and with just an open hose see if it still stutters.
Maybe its an inbuilt pressure switch thats set too low, that  you can disconect.
Water in volume should = equal water out.

That's exactly what I did after Jeff, cheers anyway. ;)

It ran fine then, so I realised it was the pressure switch.

Bought an Allen key set, and adjusted it, now it cuts out here and there, but not all the time.

Anyway, now I've got another problem with it...see new thread... :-\
