No its not true, there is always someone who will insure you.

Most insurers are leaning towards having an engineering report on the fitting of your tank.

£293, £3 more than last year, so has gone up, but includes the system. Nobody has been able to beat them for the last 5 years, always cheapest by at least £100.00.

I've never even been asked anything from any insurer about my tank, or any of my van contents. nowhere in any small print or summary has it ever mentioned anything about my water tank. ???
My business contents arn't insured though.

If it was true
They would also not insure the following trades that transport water in their vehicles
Car valeters
Truck mount carpet cleaning
Graffiti removal vehicles
Plant watering contractors

Or indeed any other contractor that needs to carry water or heavy machines, materials in their vehicles eg. Cement mixers, Grounds maintenance contractors, Brick layers, Paving contractors etc etc. all of these have large very heavy loads
..... imagine a pallat of bricks or blocks sliding forward in an accident.
