How annoying!!!
« on: January 08, 2005, 09:51:11 pm »
While surfing the web tonight i cam across this, It is from a franchise company trying to push there dry cleaning system.
If only they could sell there system on its own strenghts (if it has any??) opposed to making false claims about other systems.

Here is what they said:

Today, most carpet cleaning specialists work more or less the same way. They use a method called HOT WATER EXTRACTION, otherwise known as STEAM CLEANING. The results are often highly unsatisfactory and the process very inconvenient. At the end of the process carpets are often wet, and stay wet sometimes for days, and at the least for several hours. Floor boards and underlay can get very damp creating a wonderful environment for bacteria, mould, fungi and dust mites.

After the carpet dries, stains often reappear, occasionally worse than before. One reason for this is the so-called ‘wicking effect’ - dirt that has settled at the base of the carpet is brought back up to the top of the fibres as the carpet dries. Furthermore carpets often become dirty again, extremely quickly. Known as resoiling, this occurs because sticky chemicals and detergents are often left behind in the carpet after the cleaning process has finished.

And probably worst of all, regularly ‘wet’ cleaning carpets is known to reduce their life span by between 33% and 50%.

What complete B#ll#cks!   >:(

Hi

What is the franchise web address and what system are they advertising???

Let us all see it and make up our own minds!

Although i am soley dry system, I do not put down HWE (each to their own)

Pointless to put down one system just to advocate your own.

In my opinion

They first started Allergy removal from carpets, upholstery, cutains and bedding via dry vacuuming with a 'brief case' style vac and a UVB black light vacuum cleaner, seems as though they have moved on!

This website is very similar in design to the mattress doctor website which I have been looking at recently. I wonder if they are the same company. I do not see how they could achieve acceptable results using this method on heavily soiled carpets.
This statement is based on the type of carpets i am usually called upon to clean.
The local market rarely requires maintenance cleaning. It is usually when the carpets are 5 years and over and need a little more attention than allergens removed.
Personally I could not operate full time using this system but I can offer a similar system if required.(Without the UV Light)

Many of used this dry compound method in the past, it was not a very effective method but was an alternative to hwe. Nobody would ever consider using it on pub or restaurant carpets but it gave reasonable results on very lightly soiled carpets. Dry Fusion or indeed any other low moisture method such as Texatherm or microsplitters using charley pads would be miles ahead of this system in my opinion.

Hi ,

It looks like the Host system to me.

When I went on sales courses years ago one of the golden rules was 'don't knock the opposition'.

Cheers,

Yeah, Its not a good start when rather than selling on the back of a systems strenghs, they resort to knocking other systems with total and utter lies.

Spash and dash with a Vax maybe but not a trained professional.

The chances are slim but this site is obviously could be seen by potential customers, who may believe there pathetic claims >:(

Hi

The machine seems to be the prochem machine used with their Fibredry system and the vac is a sebo type.

I do agree that they could sell it on it's own unique selling points (usp) rather than try to beat up you HWE guys.

If there claims regarding HWE were true then fair play, but If a potential customer were to believe this twaddle then thats one less customer :-[

The customer would then be the loser as I'm sure all will agree, in 99% of cases HWE when done correctly will out perform this type of granular dry cleaning.

Paul,

I would'nt worry.

The reason you don't knock the oppo is that it makes you look like you have a rubbish system , which you can only promote by rubbishing other systems.

Cheers,

Doug
