nothing wrong with the quiet humble man in the corner. I used to have to justify myself but now my lifestyle does the talking for me (and i don't mean that in a flash way, just that its comfortable)...but i only own a wc business let em think what they want, people never know other peoples circumstances, they only know what they think they know!!

I have, it ain't nice.

I have been glassed and stabbed in a riot and fought for my life, seriously, (lucky for me I know martial arts (Judo & Kung Fu), as it's what saved my life). Never ever want to do that again. Still have flashbacks sometimes, wouldn't wish it on anyone, ever.

just kidding. i bet you i had the ring finger on my right hand bitten off in a riot. was beaten round the back of the head with a 2'' thick metal bar and left for dead. i dont know martal art i'm just a good old fasioned hard c**t!

Less of the Uncle Albert, I'm 42. Don't know any war stories either, but have an unusual request I had to do whilst in the army. I had to seal a dead person in a tin coffin whilst 4 officers witnessed it for the customs paperwork to send the coffin back to England. Also had to scrape human flesh off a land rover that had just run someone over so that I could straighten out the front end.

you really shouldnt talk of what you did or didnt do on tour. ever heard the saying what goes on tour stays on tour? that is where it comes from tour of duty not rugby tours.lol if my wife knew half the stuff i got up to she wouldnt be able to sleep next to me at night but a good squad never tells!!

I really don't give a toss what people think of me for being a window cleaner. I used to get so much cr4p off the passengers when driving a taxi that I am immune now. You have to bite your lip because if they make a complaint the authorities always take their side.

There are millionaires driving taxis in London yet the way you are spoken to is awful. Mostly by nobodies who are trying to look flash in front of the girlfriend or the neighbours.

I had a customer a while back who was inside talking loudly on the phone with the front door open. When I had finished I rang the doorbell and the person on the other end of the phone obviously heard it and said "is that your doorbell" or whatever.

"Oh its only the window cleaner" she said and then kept me waiting on the doorstep for ages while she talked and talked. It wasn't like it was an important call or anything.  Dropped her soon after that.

  I would certainly not advise glassind anyone or use of violence as running a w/c business from the jail is not easy.
  if i had been in your shoes i would have probably ignored the comment and then spent the rest of the day thinking up quick witted replies that i had been to slow to think of at the time.
 seriously though if customers speak to you like that drop them if its general public just laugh .
 i wouldnt start boasting about what i earn in front of customers  .
