So what you are saying is that you have overcharged, these people, simple because they are wealthy.

How "professional" and "honest" you are.

I don't, I charge what the job is worth, not whats in the customers bank account.

Where does it say i have overcharged them the statement i made was that i have charged them 2x day rate and they didnt bat an eyelid
If you want to know more details about the job just ask me and i will tell you do not read anything between the lines and come to the wrong conclusions this is how arguements start and disagreement snowball to all out slanging matches

My apologies if i am mistaken, but you have said that you charged them 2 times you daily rate, so if a customers day rate is £200 and you have charged £400, then surly this is an overcharge of £200, or do you have different daily charges.

Its a one off job i have to clean all the frames inside and out i have to clean all the dirt from under the sills scrape the moss/lichen from the sills remove house martins nests and i expect it to take two days hence 2x day rate
Having said all that i do hope it takes less as it is going to be hard work as they are extremely dirty and have not been cleaned in fifteen years when the place was built
Oh my aching limbs  ;D

I do, sometimes Im feeling more generous than other times, its human nature. Sometimes I make a mistake, sometimes I dont.

People pay what theye prepared to pay.

I just priced up a gutter clean today, its £85.00, I was surprised at how eager she responded, all things considered (shes an O.A.P, I generally get negative responses for jobs I price for elderly people, they have to watch the pennies more), she in hindsight would have paid more, it seems, however if it had been a professional couple living there the price would have been more, but I can live with £85.00; and so it seems can the customer.

That's very true.

But to charge different prices for the same amount of work for no other reason than they look rich, that is morally wrong.

The same applies to customers who think that they should only pay a pittance because they are hard up.

The reason i have charged them this rate is that is what i expect it to take me their is no rich tax added all my customers are charged for the job not on how much i can push them for

Are you a JW? if so then maybe you have a point reminding your brothers about greed!

you dont have to justify yourself to anyone mate the agreement between you and a customer is just between the two of you not anyone else
