Got a day off today.
« on: April 24, 2008, 07:28:31 am »
I've got a day off today, going shooting at Bisley. Nothing like it for recharging the batterys.
Its important, I feel, to have something in your life apart from work. All work and no play etc.

What do other members of the forum do?

And keep it clean.

Climbing Rocks mainly on the sea cliffs in Cornwall, or if the surfs pumping then I go surfing - otherwise spend time with family, and house always needs repairing.

Looks like a rainy day today, so my favorite hobby of taking the wheelbarrow full of dosh to the bank will be the order of the day. That's the second time this week. Then i'll probably polish my beautiful carbon pole and run my fingers through my brushes. You need some passion in this job!

I used to jet-ski but ten gallons of fuel an hour was a bit much for me!

Kayak surfing (same as board surfing - but in a kayak).

Go in the sea at Cleveleys (near Blackpool) for a 'workout' but travel to Saltburn-by-the-Sea for the proper stuff.

It's a 3 hour drive from where I am - 4 hours surfing - then a 3 hour drive back home.

I'm then totally re-invigourated or totally knackered (it's an age thing),

Mike

007 or what

Hey, small world - sold my Mega carbon Slingshot not long ago (too old now) do a bit of kite buggying when i get the time, used to cycle everyday but that's gone out of the window. Sad to say my main hobby has been windowcleaning for the last year. Going on a motorcycling holiday in Spain in September though.

Photography or golf for me.

I'm off this morning, but no time for either of them.

My daughter's teachers are striking for the day, so I'm here until my mother can have her at about 12.
Off to work then, but I never get into when it's not a full day.
