Discovery Day
« on: January 06, 2005, 06:39:24 am »
Before I start thisis not a swipe at Alltec.

However for the past three years I have been trying to go to a Discovery Day.

On the occasions when I have applied somthing usually goes wrong like being cancelled.

However thought as it was Jan, very impressed by Martin Riley at that exhibition in Docklands but far far to shy to talk to him.

Anyway thought I would pop along to Discovery Day in Nottingham.
course to be one of the first 20 people to reply and get five JP CDs on how to increase my business worth £147

Wated for post  prior to Christmas really really lookung forward to receiving JP CDs as I received my mailshot on Saturday and Faxed it back therefore I must be one of the first 20 people to reply.

Then over Christmas I could study JP material

Weeks went by no JP CD where in Nottingham was I supposed to go No Fax Back within 48 hours

Entusiasim dying read some piecies on Cleanit up about Carpet Cleaners wanting Free Lunches thought whos getting at me. Actually want two Lunches one for me one for Jenny.

Yesterday phoned Alltec asked where venue in Nottingham was.

Turned out Faxed not received I was not booked in

I am now booked in doubt if I am now one of first 20 to reply so no JP CD for me.Anye.

Do i qualify for Jan Sale Price, not sure.

As a matter of further debate if leaflet does not mention VAT do you have to pay it?

If anyone is going to Nottingham I will see you there Im the quiet one.  If all goes according to plan

Filled form in Faxed it back day after I received it. way before Christmas hoping of

Hi Ian

Today I went to a  Discovery Day in Swindon.

Firstly to be fair to Alltec I asked about the Cds and found out that girl who copy's them had been of ill, and Robert has been very ill in the last month so he was not able to sort it out.

But you be glad to now that I had all five Cds and a great marketing workbook (which I would vaule at £300-£500) today along with many other helpful items.

The price in the January Sales book is £37.00  and the Vat has already been added.

ie cost of Discovery Day =£31.49 + £5.51 Vat =£37.00

For this we had drinks and sweets all day, a great dinner put on by the Marriott Hotel, Paul Peace and Robert were there for 7 hours runing a marketing seminar. £147.00 worth of cd's and many great ideas for my company.

Of Couse you ask your self why??

well Robert is hoping that if you like what you see that you will join his Fasttrack programme and maybe you will buy other items of him in years to come etc

I enjoyed the day and took a lot away from it

Just to Clarify, I was not having a Crack at Alltec as I have always been satisfied with their products.

I was just illustrating that every time I apply somthing goes wrong.

Ian,
Forget your shyness. When you go along if you dont automatically get the CDs etc. a quiet word with Robert or one of his staff, and Im sure they will look after you. As has been said before, by others, Robert really does care - of course its his business hes looking after - but theres a lot more to Robert Saunders than just that.

Just to add my two bobs wroth last year booked on a discovery day think it was in Reading, just right as I live in Portsmouth, sent in the payment around £35.00p looked forward to the day.

Talking to Nick Holman just a day or so before the great day, find out it’s been cancelled. No word from alltec. Phoned  and told letter sent to me, Did not get it?
Have tried to book on the day lots and lots of time to date, “full up, call you back, the girl that looks after this in on holiday, at lunch, in the loo, not well, will ring you back,  I’ll get her to ring you back, I’ll sort out a refund, she’s in the loo, at lunch, ring you back. You getting fed up reading the same thing, I got fed up ringing.

So would still like to go on the Discovery Day but just lost interest in asking when there would be one that I could book on. (Did not get refund). Don't get mail from them now?  :'(

So I do under stand how Ian feels.

P.S. took there T/M for a 7 day test best thing Since Sliced Bread.

Sorry to hear that Robert has been ill and I hope he gets well soon. Maybe sometime in the future he might finally get around to replying to the email I sent him in September 2002.
Ironically Robert will teach others to keep in touch with their clients and they will pay him for it too :)

We also had a full day, in Nottingham  little time for tea break finishing at 6.15pm in fact we got locked in the Confrence Centre and had to climb out the window ;D ;D ;D

Got CDs

Will be trying out two statergies now that I understand them better.

All I can say is where else would you get a fulls day training for £35 plus your time.

I could do with an extra £500 a week as well.

I'm going to have a stab at it.

sorry for delay in replying due to some gliche in my software and to writing to selected customers offering free room of carpet cleaned up to 2oos/f..
thats one of the marketing tips from the discovery day. Real spinner for me was to stop quoting over the phone and as a result effectivly reducing my service/price, not trying to compete /price match for a customers friend who had a quote to clean her lounge and bedroom for £45.00,  I know we shouldent but i had got into the mentality of not wanting to9 lose any customer ,but the real increase came from pricing protector in at agood rate on upholstery which all of my last 4 suite cleans accepted and also protection on carpet cleans which im afraid to say ihave been neglecting for a little while
