Got to ask why you took on a job you haven't the equipment for OK you probably want lots more Town Houses or whatever. As you've seen the house you,ve taken on (presumably), you're better placed than anyone to know what size of pole you need surely.

yes i'm bonkers. but i always say yes, haven't given a price yet but he is desperate and neighbours are keen too so why wouldn't you just say yes then work out the details later.,  there are loads of 3 storey town houses without window cleaners round here. I'm just asking you guys what you use. my current pole was supplied by purefreedom and its an 18 foot.  looking to buy a 30 foot from gardeners with a goose neck any one got any comments.

Hi Tom, For what it's worth I have a x-tel hybrid 24ft which gives me say 27ft of reach. It does all my needs. I could clean a few more windows on some of my customer's houses if I had a longer pole, but why should I? It would mean the pole was heavier for the rest of my work, or I'd have a big pole for only a few jobs. And I ain't looking for work. I think balance is important. Is that brand new shiny pole, costing £xxx worth the work it's going to pull in? If the answer is yes, go for it

its all new to me ,been going about 4 months so still finding things i need , started trad for only a month then wfp for difficult windows but rapidly out growing the puree freedom trolley set up. just want to be able to say yes to most domestic jobs. so the advise from you guys and girls is very valuable when looking to buy new kit

I live in a town house and i use a 30 foot hybrid because when theres a car on drive i found it harder with the 24 foot.

i use a 25ft pole and i struggle when there is a car on the drive to reach velux on the roof, cos it's parked exactly where i need to stand.
A gooseneck is a good idea for 3rd story houses that have dormers. I can reach with 25ft pole but occasionally i have to hold the pole above my head to get into the bottom corners.

If its the 3 storey rather than the 2 storey + dormers, at a stretch I can reach them with my 21ft X-tel although I wouldnt consider using it on a first clean.

Early reports of the SLX from gardiners look promising and it'll probably be the only pole you'll ever need.

did a town house today new customer (they were shocked I could clean all of them).
needed the 34ft for the velux's (why put them on roofs  )
I am 6ft 34ft just got to them at a stretch hands above head.

31ft maybe just a tad to small imo

cheap unger 10m trad pole 30ft works a treat. you can drop it, kick it and it doesnt break

watch out for slanty back gardens and conservatories, decking etc etc....can add many inches on to reach
