Relay Van tank position
« on: April 18, 2008, 06:15:17 pm »
Hi Guys

I have recently got a '51' plate Citroen Relay 1000 (1165 payload) and have fitted a 650 litre tank and still in the process of completing it.

I initially positioned the tank length ways but have subsequently fitted it width ways behind the back seats.

Having it width ways gives more room in the back section but a full tank of water causes the van to look and feel very heavy on the front suspension and tyres.
I haven't had it to a weigh bridge but am suspicious that the front axel is overloaded with full fuel and two of us inside.

The drive did appear to be better with the tank length ways though.

I know there are a number of you out there who have Ducatos, Relays and Boxers and wondered which way your tank has been fitted.

Thanks
