Anyone using Procaps now?
« on: April 16, 2008, 11:03:10 am »
Just wondering if anyone rates this new Prochem encap compared to the others. It does appear to be the latest gen crystalisation product, not just a sticky shampoo.

I used my sample of Procaps on a school library just last week. Followed instructions to the letter, even performed twice, and vacced when dry. It was OK but not brilliant with some residual staining still visible.

I then used some of the new Fusion Pure with my Dry Fusion System. The results were stunning (on the whole job). I'd say that this is even better than Activator alone, the results being both easier and quicker. And the concentration is only 50% of Activator so cheaper too.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Hi Ken, what did you work the procaps into the carpet with a rotary or a host/envirodri?

Now thats a good question Art,

because recommended aplication on low profile is cimex machine with pads attached, by far the best method of applying, rotorys and contra rotorys are not as effective.
I know I have tried,
I wouldnt waste a couple of k on a cimex , when I already have the others.

I prefer the brushes as opposed to pads , even though pads are recommended.

Hi Geoff,

With procaps they recommend the T4. Which as you probaly know is the same as a host/envirodri. The contra rotating brushes would IMO work the solution deeper into the carpet than a rotary which would possibly do a better job?

Tried encap with rotowash, you do not get even distubution of foam, the cimex triple brush is perfect

To be fair not tried T4 ,
Geoff

ps. who makes the t4

I used my Envirodri E40 which is similar to the recommended T4.  I know that some encap solutions are lower foaming products. I didn't get much foam generated with the Procaps.

Geoff
The T4 is the Prochem CRB machine which I believe is made by Rotowash. Can anybody else confirm this?

Safe and happy cleaning :)

The T4 is a prochem machine. I had a go with one and compared to host /envirodri they don't seem as good.

I've got a sample of procaps that i'm going to give a run with my envirodri. Haven't really done any encap cleaning so it should be interesting

Hi,

We have used procaps with rotary and shampoo brush.  It does about as good a job as bonnet, but without having a dirty pad to show for it.

It doesnt whiten when you first go over it (a plus point when cleaning with folks around using bonnet)
You dont remove ANY dirt that you can show the customer (another plus point when piling up the dirty bonnets)

I would use bonnet if there are people to watch you clean and procaps if there isnt. They are about the same in time, user fatigue and results (give or take the odd mark)

graeme,

I use the encap infront of custy :)
I give free demo,s to the custy :)
all with encap, why because the initial results are far better, faster and simpler, and if you can explain the chemistery and the workings to the custy , he isnt bothered what he see,s or  pads piled up,
all they are bothered about is .

The carpet looking cleaner. the carpet staying cleaner longer, the effienciancy of the task in hand and the price.and with cimex capable of cleaning up to 300 sq mtrs an hour you can trim the price if required.
and who wants to be wasting time wringing out pads in a bucket, and having to take them home and wash them?
not me , stick to moving dirt from one place to another if your happy ;) :)

Geoff,

I'm saying not all supposed 'encap' products are the new generation.

I think you have the right idea though, it's ok comparing encap chems, but perhaps the key to it's effectiveness is what you use to shampoo it up, and not many have the Cimex.

Saw one on ebay around the time of CCDO, would have been worth a punt.

Hi Geoff,

I agree, the customer wants a carpet with an even appearance.  Its just easier to manage when they see you actually removing dirt.

Maybe i should work on my encap pitch a bit.  abracadabra just isnt cutting it  ;D.
