It's landed but not in Cornwall  :(.  It was due to be delivered today to our premises but for some reason, as yet unexplained, the couriers have failed to make the delivery.  We have an email ready to send out to all clients who have reserved one and as soon as we have the SL-X physically in our hands, this email will go out, kick starting the delivery process.  You have mail.

The basic pole structure which we then fit and finish and send out.

Hi Rob

The brush was due to be delivered to us today.  I phoned the company to get a tracking number to see where they are and they hadn't got back to me by this evening, so I'm hoping they will turn up tomorrow.  Needless to say, I'll be chasing this up in the morning.

Will the brush be on web site as soon as you get them?

Another thing.....will they be ready to go or do we need to order jets etc?

The brush will be on the website as soon as we have them along with photographs.  They will come as complete jetted units.

So did they arrive?

If so, are they all sold?
It's a game of three halves!

Neither arrived  :(

The pole will be coming to us tomorrow (it is now in the courier system).

The brush has been promised for Friday (judging by the firms previous promises I would not recommend holding your breath though).

We will drop you a line Ian when they are with us.  :)

This doesn't bode well for spares and ongoing support Alex ...  :-\

Give the guy a break, it is not his fault, he will hold spares I am sure of that, most things have teething problems, Alex IMHO likes to be upfront and honest about it (that to me is a priceless quality in a company)

No window washers, I'm not having a go at Alex at all, just expressing the view that if his supplier is unreliable (and this release of the SLX has been delayed several times) then I am undecided about spending my money on this particular item.

This pole sounds just what I am looking for, but the delays in delivery to Alex do not inspire me with confidence that any spares (if necessary) will be readily available.

If I buy another pole I want a long term relationship with it (2/3 years) and it must work very well and be well supported.

I have no doubt Gardiners are to be trusted to do that and I hope that Alex will not be totally at this company's mercy in the future. (Maybe spares and "wearing" items sourced or made elsewhere ... )

I am sure Alex will reply to this and understand what you are saying, I would not stick up for a company that I did not trust, Alex will have spares for these poles in stock when the poles finally arrive, I think the problem was production and getting it right that put it back, courior problems is easy fixed just change them but till you try them you dont know the outcome, I dont see other suppliers being so honest and upfront about things on any forum I go on and I go on a few.

3 companies I do trust is Alex and purefreedom, and wintecs

It is a good consideration Malc.

We will have in stock a full supply of spares for these poles and future production should not be a problem as we are now booking production in advance. The second batch of the poles will be with us by the end of April. Some of the components for the pole we do have direct control over already.

There are always delays in getting a new product into the supply stream as we have experienced. We first started this project just over a year ago, so it has taken some time. Once a product has been fully machine set-up future supply is usually not such an issue.  :)
