i currently use the E Z range of snap connectors for connecting micro bore hose to pole, problem i have is cost of replacing  them and how long there last before there are leaking im looking for alternative connectors to try out , any help would be appreiated

I use the good quality ones you buy for compressors, still using the same connectors 16 month on, no leaks, no jamming or getting stuck.

Available from Screwfix, Toolstation or compressor suppliers.

Chances are you`ve got the chinese import ones.

How very true that comment, My very first ones (I won't say where from) but they were utter rubbish and lasted only a couple of weeks.

I got fed up with them, replaced them 3 times from 2 different suppliers. I've gone back to hoselock style on a short section of 1/2 " hose attached to the end of my microbore. In my opinion unless you want to stock spares or order on the net and wait for it to be delivered, which is both expensive and time consuming, hoselocks are available everywhere and easy and cheap to replace so you can keep working 
These from gardena are the best I've used , they are metal and very tough, been using one 6 months with no problem or leaks, its gets dropped, dragged on the floor and trodden on and has never given me a problem. About 3 times the price of a plastic one but will last 6 times longer.

Are they 'the same as we supply' or are they 'the ones that we supply'?

The ones we supply are German made and are not the same as the imitation ones that have flooded in from China and are causing a raft of problems.

How long are they lasting you? 6 months? 3 months?

I got some from Arthur @ www.surecleansystems.com and after 6 months they're still going strong,.. not even the slightest leak,...

we did use Rectus 21 fittings - the same as Gardiners supply.

They're very good quality however another well known fittings supplier supply copies of the Rectus fitting and they're BETTER and CHEAPER!!

We ordered 50 of them 2 months back and been using them since, have to say they're better by far, heavier set shoulder on them reduces unwanted release and less wear on the collar if you drag them around like I do.

I got 10 of these from ebay but only use them for outside connectors and for connecting hose to van as they are solid but using ez snaps from hose to pole but cant tell you if any good as not used long enough to have opinion, the gardiners ones are £5.49 in B&Q but theres someone on ebay who offered me 8 fo £30 inc P&P

oh they also do the male fitting for the pole hose, bought 100 of them too, think they cost £1 each or so.

by the way I bought loads as we have 4 poles going all day long and 3 friends who are all polers wanted them too so its split between quite a few of us.

that many for just the 2 vans would have been nuts!

nah canny find the invoice, probably in my sons van but he's out and don't know where the keys are.

I think the female fittings were around £3 each incl VAT

Male fittings were about £1 incl VAT

The total for 50 female and 100 male was £261 - that much I can remember - it was me who paid it!

Smaller quantities will obviously cost more per unit though.
