http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morton's_neuroma

I have been having some problems with my foot for the last 6 months.

Can be painful to walk but it worse when I have to drive.

After having a scan they have said that I have 2 morton neromas.

They put it down to wear and tear.

Has anyone else had this and what treatment did you have.

Look forward to your replies.

Hi Ray,

I have had a problem with both my feet (mainly the right one) for the past 2 1/2 years.  The doctor was sure that it was Mortons Neuroma so whilst i was awaiting the Ultra Sound scan i had 6 sessions of Accupuncture then after that i had a Steroid injection.  The Accupuncture gave me relief for upto 2 days but the Steroid injection didnt work at all.  The scan found no evidence of Mortons Neuroma.  After various other test & procedures they found that i have  CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome),  also known as RSD (Reflex sympathetic dystrophy).

I have had Guanethidine blocks to aid in pain relief,  i got a maximum of 2 months relief.  I am now awaiting RF Facet Denervation.    http://www.scoliosisnutty.com/page.php?pg=157

I have been on constant medication for the past 2 1/2 years.  At one point i was taking 21 tablets each day.  I currently have to take Morphine based tablets 3 times a day along with 2 other medication (15 tablets in total).

Richie.

trust you Shaun,

Colin,
CRPS is a medical condition of which doctors know very little about therefore is very difficult to treat.  There is NO cure you,  it took me a while to get used to that fact.

I was told there was no cure for a much worse condition, which had me VERY close to becoming wheelchair bound.

I will post more later as I have to go

You might NOT need an operation...................that is what the medical profession are geared up for and how they attempt to resolve many conditions which are more often than not, caused by a structural misalignment, resulting in muscles, tendons and straining, twisting and rubbing.

You must have your alignment checked as a misalignment of the spine or pelvis will affect the entire skeletal structure.

There are a number of people around the UK trained to correctly deal with alignment problems, none of them are chiropractors or osteopaths.

Went to the docs today. After the results of the scan they now tell me that I have 2 of them.

They injected one with a steroid to see if that will cure it.

Will have to wait and see.
