« on: April 13, 2008, 08:57:26 am »
I used this product for the 1st time yesterday and i was blown away with the results. i have tried m power before and didnt seem to be able to get the desired results so went back to the detergents. I will be sticking to Pureclean from now on for most jobs.

Heard a lot of people praising it last week.

Is it just a powdered form of microsplitter or is it something different that gives better results than m/s?

Hi Guys

Pureclean is the 'microsplitter' ingredient, sodium tripolyphosphate.

All the other products will be various dilutions with different buffering systems.

Hi

I have tried it on a Wool Berber & wasn't happy with the result.

I live in a soft water area, does that make a difference?

Does it work better on synthetics?

How did you agitate?

Just started to use it, and just used it on a Wool Berber as well and wasn't happy.
The carpet was lightly soiled cream scrubbed in with pile brush and left to dwell for 15 mins, ended up after I had cleaned it put prespray gold on, and it did the job and extracted.
I have only had one or two good res ponces from micro-split, but still willing to give things a try.
Im going to keep on trying with pureclean and see what happens on different fibers before I bin it...

I don't think there is any dwell time with m/s.

I think it needs something meaty to agitate with this type of construction.

I got a tub of pure clean from Restormate and half a tub of M Power of Jason last Monday on CCDO. I have tried both and so far impressed. What did supprise me was the M Power, found results excellent. Im going to carry on trialing both of these products over the next months and will put a post up of how I find them.

Did you have the Envirodri at that point Paul?

I beleive they are very similar products, I may be wrong. :-\ (except ones a lot cheaper)

So maybe ther are other variables at work like fibre content and as Pete may be hinting HD agitation.

You don't need a dwell time, 15 minutes and it had probably dried to some degree. Spray, agitate and rinse off.

Hi

Re Wool Berber, pre sprayed with pure clean agitated with pile brush, extracted straight away.

I would have thought a Berber would need less agitation not more.

Same carpet cleaned with M power came up like new!

Never used Nemisis so cannot comment.

I have found with pure clean that you need to spray down enough to stay damp for at least 10 minutes, but agitate it in straight after application then leave for the required time. Seems to work better after dwell time before rinsing, unlike the usual ms products.

As we all know,  1 chemical will not do every job.  I also found Pure Clean not to be very suitable with wool berber.  Every other carpet i have cleaned though with Pure Clean has had EXCELLENT results.  Depending on the level of soiling i may or may not aggitate.  I have used M Power & Nemisis but found the results to be not what i expected.  I have heard though that if you spray M Power allow dwell then mist over with Solutions HD that you get good results.

Richie.
