Whats going on. Has anyone else had this trouble.
« on: April 09, 2008, 08:50:28 pm »
Finishing my last job yesterday and my wfp system came to a full stop.

Hmm I think. Time to give my bat a full on charge.

Went out this morning. Fitted bat back on and tested system. All running perfectly.

Get on site. Get the gear out. Fire up the sureflow and nothing. Not even a blimp.

Had to trad all day.

Anyone had this trouble before.

Is it the bat on the way out or something else?

What should I look for?

The equipment is resonably new.

sounds like a connection is loose to me, I am having the same problems at the mo as battery is in the wrong place.

I know it is not the battery as I have 2 of them now, it I wobble the wire it comes on then goes off again, have to be like this till the weekend so I can sort it out again, second time this has happened in a couple of months.

Sounds like it could be the pressure switch on top of the pump.  Classic symptoms seems like a loose wire.

Ihave no power light when switching the controler on.

All wires and conections seem to be in good order.

Have not had a major look yet though.

Do you have an inline fuse with your pump, most do. That could have blown!

inline fuses dont always blow, but they do come loose from the connection, I found this out a few months back and solved the problem I was having, but is starting to happen again this time it is not that it is the lead to the battery clip.
I may rewire the system and move the battery to solve this one and for all.

My battery went flat today.
Mind you i have not charged it in two years the split charge relay takes care of that.

I went home to grab my spare and that was flat so had an early day and have my spare on charge.

The other will charge tomorrow on my 15 mile drive the job i'm working on tomorrow.

But i will take the spare in case

If its an intermittent problem and your system was installed professionally, chances are its the pressure switch on the pump, as the wires and connections will be secured well. A sharp tap of a hammer, or any hard heavy object will normally fix it,... but if the problem persists you can but pressure switches separate from the pumps i'm told.
