There is a cleaner in my area who has been doing it for years and years, everyone who i have spoken too says he's crap and does a hopeless job. Funny thing is none of them will sack him because "he's always done our windows". Now i think on the whole i do a top job - frames, doors and low level gutters as part of the service, i even wash under porch canopies whilst waiting for upstairs windows to stop dripping. Will they change cleaner? - not 'till he retires. :-\

I think there is probably crap cleaners every where, i know there is some round here, but as you say they have been going a long time, and my personal opinion on it is, that people dont know any better, and its a bit like better the devil you know.

keep plugging away, people do eventually start to notice,

Iv picked up alot of work recently from a guy who in the end has retired after a fall, and some of these customers have slagged him off something rotten, and have said, we noticed you cleaning a while back, but just never got round to asking for a price,

so basically they were not happy with their cleaner, but could not be arsed to do out about it,
think some people are to embarrassed to cancel!!

I have an entire cul-de-sac of 10 houses....except one.  She says she has had her WC for 20 years, and even though he is rubbish and never uses a squeegee (just a 'dirty rag') she says she would feel awful to sack him.#

*rolleyes*
