I had a lady ring me up yesterday screaming at me saying that we had done a bad job cleaning her suite and carpets.

For twenty minutes she was going balistic that we had cleaned her 3 piece suite and all her carpets in her 3 bed house, she said that we had promised her that her carpets and suite would be dry in 2 hours, she then went on to tell me that her carpets were as dirty as when we started and that her suite was dripping wet, at this point she started to cry and sob saying that we had ruined her christmas and so on,

Once i eventualy calmed her down she told me her name and address, she said that we had got there at 10.45 and had left at 12.

I couldnt believe this we hadnt booked any domestic work in after monday of this week as we were fully commited on commercial work, alarm bells started ringing in my ears, had one of my lads tried doing a foreigner?? i asked her what type of machine was used and she said a portable, at last i relaxed, we dont have any portable machines i said, which firm did this for you i said, she replied that it was our firm albright cleaning and we did the whole house and 3 piece suite for £75.00

I told her that wer are not Albright Cleaning we are ADL Cleaning Services Ltd.

She appologised and put the phone down.

A wasted 20 minutes of my time but not to worry.

Exact same thing happened to me about 3 years ago , these people ring all over the world for a PRICE and then they do not know who has done the work for them!!

Have had similar and found out that another company had used my pictures in YP advert and on website. The customer got them mixed up looking in book to get number for complaint. She even described me to a tee, due to the picture being of me cleaning upholstery.
Without the complaint i may have never noticed the use of my pics until too late  
ps. She is my customer now and has been for 4 years

Same here about 5 or 6 years ago - but this time they had used MY name 

I went round to have a look and the suite was literally dripping (5 hours after the 'clean')

The customer had been told to empty out all the china cabinets etc., but nothing had been moved - not even a small Chinese rug, which had remained in place during the carpet 'clean'.

The householders accepted that the man who had spent 1.5 hours cleaning all carpets and suite (for £200) had nothing to do with me and apologised for accusing me, so I spent a couple of hours extracting as much dirty water as possible, sprayed everything with fungicide and left them 3 air movers.

When I called round to collect the blowers a couple of days later they offered me £300 in cash, which I refused. Since that date I have collected well over ten times that amount in work for them and their friends but the anger at the impersonator is still as strong.
