Do you use ladders to get onto first floor balconys or is this H&S issue so just dont do them.

I certainly do, , just climb on , slowly and carefully, if theres the slightest  amont of wind ,attach the ladder with a bungy, so it cant blow away  when its   not got  your weight on it

if you go on balconys you are meant to tie off every time not just with wind (it is to stop it slipping one from the wind and also when you go back on it.

why dont u just pull the ladder up so you know it aint gonna go no where and when your done drop the ladder back down,

I use a 'break away' small cable used for towing trailers. Quick to clip around ladder and railing and very safe.

I no longer do customers with balconies as i nearly fell from one a couple of years ago getting back on the ladder and i missed my footing.

That made me think and i dropped the customers who had balconies.

Theres no way i couldnt do the people with balconys as i live in the town with the biggest harbour in Europe so majority of homes have balconys.
