Puzzled from Putney
« on: April 01, 2008, 05:05:06 pm »

At the beginning of this year I turned up at a customers house having arranged it by phone the night before.

She wasn't in (and I did hang around for 15 mins in case she'd nipped to the corner shop) so I bunged my ladders back on the van and off I went leaving a note through her door to call me.

She didn't and so I made a mental note to dump her.

Get a call lunchtime today...it's her:

"Hello Simon when are you free to come over?"

I was a bit slack this afternoon so thought: "£30 is £30" and went straight round.

Did the job, and she gave me £60. " I owe you for the last clean."

I'm still trying to work out whether she was just paying me for my time wasted or whether she genuinely believes I cleaned her windows back in January.

Anyway...Happy Days ;D ;D

She might have been trying to catch you out but there are cheaper ways,if she had any sense she wouldn`t have paid you an extra £30 to find out.

I must admit my conscience said to give it back ::) but then my materialistic side said: Come on Simon you did lose £30 when she stood you up.

Materialistic side won and I'm having a Ruby delivered in about 20 minutes on the back of it. ;D
