Hi
I think the yellow pages as a good advertising tool, but that is just my opinion.
Thanks

Think you will get a mixture of responses for this one, it is like asking if your favourite is McDonalds or Burger King.

Personally I think yellow pages is a waste of money, barely got my money back on the year that we advertised.

By the way my fav is burger king ;D ;D

Paul
I think it's down to luck. The years I've been in the YP I have got some decent contracts from it.
McDonalds for me :)

We get a much better return from Yellow Pages/Yell, than we do from The Phone Book, but the cost of Yellow pages is also much higher

Yellow pages, but we're in a client-rich area so tends to work well here. BT phonebook we have the same size ad and get about 10% of the calls - costs slightly more to advertise in yell but I think definately more worth while... for us anyway.

got to admit, I choose macdonalds to the phone book and Burger King to yellow pages. Hang on a second thats not the question... Ha ha just kidding. I was warned off thompson local on here and advised to go for yellow pages. So far I have had more from thompson than from yellow pages and even that isn't much.

I find that yell.com produces more leads than yellow pages, more & more people seach online & don't use the directory anymore.

Price them up - ditch directorys (except the free lines) and get a web site done - only £5 month for hosting

Guys I know we do a lot of physical work but please take good care of your bodies. We work as hard as some footballers and earn less money, so for a longer working life avoid burger king or Mackies.

Yell.com and a good designed website are good options.
