so sorry to hear some little rat has stolen your ladders.

Is there anyone on the forum local to you who could lend you a set for a while?
I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

Sorry you had your ladders stolen. Did you lock them up overnight? Too many thieves about. They will nick anything, even if they don't want it, sometimes just for the fun of it. Not very nice to be the victim of these lowlife.

Have you thought about giving a few hours of your time helping others in need , I think you would be good at it   ::)

Even a padlock doesn't stop them having a go. My ladder clamp had a hole in the bit that spins round so I used to put a padlock in that to stop them being able to turn it. I thought that was enough.

Some scrote tried to bend up the arm which would have allowed them to turn it off, padlock and all. Fortunatly they didn't succeed.

I bought a padlock with a long loop on it that goes right round the lot now.

Not had ladders nicked but have had my bucket, blade, scrims etc nicked which I'd left out side the bakers.

All easily replaced but what annoys me is that for the scumbag who nicked my gear it's only a bucket etc....to me it's my livelihood nicked for the day.

It might be worth checking the local scrap yard.  The price of metals has gone up and thieves will nick anything shiny.  Around my way loads of lead flashing has gone missing off of peoples porches, I caught one guy doing it in broad daylight.  So your ladders might be in tact at a scrap yard and if they are I gaurantee the police would love to know.

Simon.
