At long last I got my new Hydramaster Drimaster Upholstery tool and I have to say, it was definitely worth the wait, and the price tag.
I had thought that the current model was the ultimate upholstery tool but this new one is so much better. It’s wider so covers more fabric more quickly and the flow controls are so much easier to use and the head rotates easily so that you’re not fighting the hose as you manoeuvre the tool.
But the really good bit is how much better it cleans and that becomes apparent from the very first pass. This is going to be one of those tools that you’ll always wonder how on earth you ever managed without it. Well done Hydramaster!

I could not get on with the old model, found it wanting and ended up happier with a CFR, the drymaster was ok on light weight fabrics and lightly soiled ones but anything that was really grubby the drymaster was no good.
Anyway like every thing else each to there own.
Simon does the mark 2 version have a trigger ? and is it still a waterfall style flow head?

Glyn said the same thing as you regarding the Drimaster, then one day, completely out of the blue he rung me up and said, 'Thank You.' I asked him what for, he said, 'For introducing me to the Drimaster, it's fantastic!'

If you have been used to a trigger tool like the CFR or Prochem then the Drimaster takes a little getting used to but I like it so much I won't use anything else unless I really have to.

Horses for courses tho!

Not really considering it will last you years and if your charging £100+ for suite cleaning paid for itself in no time

Klinger its not a lot of money as a good hand tool is worth its weight in gold.

Simon its not the trigger style that I had a problem with, it was the flushing of the flock/fabric, I found that it dried quickly because it just skimmed across the top of the material, which was ok on light weaves but any heavy weave or heavy soiled upholstery if needed lots of apsses and I still cound not get a graet resul. Using the cfr tool I can just change the jet size to either lightly flush or on a bad suite a bigger jet will flood more, removing more soil with out over wetting the fabric.

don't H/M offer a try-before-you-buy policy on the drymaster handtool?

if this one is any good I'm sure they will give the same offer on this handtool, if they do I'll definitely be giving it a go.

I have the old one and that is superb,so if this one is even better,fantastic will have to get one.

£400 for a hand tool of that quality is peanuts.
You have to look at from a more practical point of view than just a sum of money. I've had my existing Drimaster for five years or so and in that time it has cleaned  thousands of suites and chairs, banquet seating and god knows what else and made me a lot of money into the bargain. Plus, they are tax deductible, you know, so why skimp on having the very best equipment money can buy?

they did this with mine, after all a good selling point if you can try for a week .
certainly made my mind up

I have the old one and have used it on the truckmount and a portable machine witha 100psi pump and i must say it is a fantastic piece of equipment and the drying times are incredible!
