« on: March 24, 2008, 04:09:10 pm »
Just started clening conservatorys using tfr and then a water fed brush, i am finding this a ball ache and was thinking about using tfr then a jet wash from above.
Could you please tell me how you clean them to see if i can do it any better.

Jet wash has a danger of getting in the sels perhaps lifting panels with the pressure.

Maybe experiment with different techniques with wfp.  Maybe use a stiff heavy brush for roof panels with tfr, then whiole the tfr is doing its thing, swap to a light brush to do pinacles and ridge with tfr and rinse.
Then go back to roof panels and rinse / scrub.

I would then use a short pole + water only on the guttering, windows and frames.

I use a wfp, I can do an extremly dirty one, frame, roof, windows, finial in about thirty minutes.

Before wfp I used to use a soapy applicator on an extension pole then hose down.

Whichever method you get quicker with practice. If you do a search there is lots on here about it.

I spray the tfr on..... then proceed to clean all the house windows...

then i attach the customers hosepipe to my pole... by this time the tfr has broken any dirt/grease down...... and i scrub using normal water then rinse off with pure water/brush.

Same here,  i've just bought an adapter to run customers tap water up my pole. Pure water seems to make no difference to the green stuff.

similar to cas man and dale,i dont use a window brush for doing roofs  tho, just have a seperate one and change em over.Really useful are the little platforms you can buy for about 100 quid or so ,make reaching it all much easier ;D
