Hi Michel

A serious question thanks

10" wheels fitted, and yes about 120lbs, I have not actually had a chance to weigh it yet, it is very manoeuvrable,

Paul, I'm not even going to answer that!!!

Best regards Nick

Last question then

Are you bringing in the 300psi machine. Is it 300 or 350 psi

Paul

bare in mind the 1500 psi model only has 2 vacs and 146" of lift so its only an average carpet cleaning machine, it is designed to work with the aqua blade for hard floor cleaning. my personal feeling is this job could be completed to a higher standard with a specific machine, as could the carpet clean, after all you can buy a very high power engine driven pressure washer for around £1000

have a think about it first if you still want to know I will forward it to you.

Best regards Nick

Got back from not so sunny Cornwall with my Eclipse last night. Yeah!  ;D

Can't wait to start using it, but that won't be until late next week, as the small matter of a house move is taking priority now, so the boss tells me.

Nick, it was great to meet you, and thanks for all the time you took in showing me the workings of the Eclipse and Super Pad Charly and all the extras you supplied.

I promise I won't mention our special arrangement of getting the Eclipse for free as long as I drove down to collect it.  :)

I'm sure I'll be back on the phone soon with more questions, as I'll never remember everything you explained. Even after a very restful sleep in a lovely local guest house, I still felt like a zombie after the seven hour journey down from Ipswich. I just wish the journey back was only seven hours! Can't anyone drive on motorways without causing accidents these days?

Paul

From reading this thread I know that both you and steve are finding the drying times much improved with you eclipse. What Iwas wondering was about was the water consumption. I know Steves Ninja was getting through an awfull lot but I was wondering how it compared for water consumption with your Comanche.

Also in a previous post somewhere you said taking the motor tray out was really easy(I think you said A monkey could do it, which puts it out of my league!) and I think Steve also said it was a doddle similar to the advantage. When I asked Nick he said 10-12 minutes which is a hell of a lot longer than the advantage and far too long to be practicall on aday to day basis.

As users I would be gratefull for yours and Steves (hope the hand is getting better) comments on this aspect of your new machines

Michel the tray does not need to be removed on a day to day basis only on occasions when it is necessary to take the machine upstairs.Yes it takes a little longer than the advantage but 10-12 minutes is not that long bearing in mind how long it takes to set up. I have tried the machine using 125ft of hose and drying times are still good.I emailed an owner in the USA who regularly uses 150ft of hose so really the tray does not need to be removed all the time although not recommended to get the best from the machine.I regularly use 75ft of hose with no problem.I have only had to remove the tray once which was a block of flats with no lift and no power supply downstairs.

Picked mine up at the end of January. It's an excellent piece of kit but as a newbie to the industry I can't really make comparisons to other machines, although I can definitely say it does make my lack of experience less evident!!!

I bought the Eclipse after a lot of research, Nick was extrememly helpful, and I bought a few other bits from him to complete my start-up package.

Downside - it's not exactly easy to move up stairs or even anything more than a couple of steps, luckily it's powerful enough to allow me to run decent lengths of hose so theres no need to move it too far.

Have you got the 300 or the 500 psi

What about loading in and out of the van

I have the 500psi version.

Loading in and out of the van is no problem, there's a certain way which takes the effort out of it.
