Do all my own mechanical stuff ! bit of a car nut to boot,i restored an old ford zephyr when i was 19 building a vw scirocco at the mo for road and trackday fun.All self taught as never been flush enough to pay others to do it,although it`s been sat on my drive for 2 years now just waiting for the spare £ to get the alloy racing fuel cell to go in the boot and high pressure injection lines making up.have upgraded all the brakes and suspension brakes are pretty straight forward,can`t go wrong with a manual and net

Some jobs are just beyond me! Just paid out £891.24 did question price on remove / install £37.50 + vat it was all ready detached, all they need to do disconnect two terminal pugs it took me less than one minute.

Some callipers are the screw type some you can leaver back don’t forget to undo the cap.

My "breaks" (see Pete's first post) usually start at about 10.30 am with a coffee and thereafter i take as many as possible!!

they charged me £60 as well for the front on my T5 VW wanted £120 so though KWIKY BRAKES was a bargin, took them 30 mins and was on my way.

IT all depends on your POV really, could have got the pads and DIY''d it for £25 but rather clean a carpet and stay dust free.

Guys in KF all very helpfull and put us to font of the queue when we have as emergency, had 8 punctures repaired for free, in last year and two exhaust patched up till they can get the part in to fix them. They probably have saved me as much as they charged.
