Keep it simple, what you do, and how to contact you.

XyZ Window Cleaning
Commercial and Domestic
Mobile number (or landline/0800, whatever you want)
And you could put an email address or website address on the front door or so.

That's it, get somebody to design a nice logo for your company that looks pro, and isn't a man up the ladder or something similar (no offense to anyone who has that.)

Apart from that, nothing. Some people have every single thing on there, before you can decipher it, they are 5miles up the road.  :)

Its a good idea to download a picture of your colour of van and use paint or similar to sign write your van and see what it looks like.  That way you can make any changes you want, and get it right before you pay to have it done.

Poleman, do you mind me asking how much you paid for this? Is it vehicle wrap?

Mine never got me much. Cos its rubbish.

Window washers, your logo always reminds me of an insurance company or phone directory or something...

Still better than mine.

Indeed the van is wrapped, the cost wasn't cheap, this was over 1k but in a 1000 window cleaners one stands out from the crowed! (its paid for its self)

Try this company for a quote  www.bullfrographix.com

Some will say...what a waste of money! well its 24 / 7 advert!

£1000 + vat = £1175 is good value for money.  Divide this by the length of time you keep the vehicle.

Lets say you keep it for Six years. = 312 weeks

£1175 divided by 312 weeks  = £3.76 a week for advertising your business.

If you wont a business that is going to give you a good living! then it pays to think out of the box!

Like it Andy, looks great and well worth the money spent in my opinion. I have more than paid for my signwritting over the last couple of years with jobs brought in from it.

For some jobs that can be good earners i find that they are needed to get on the odd roof etc,in some jobs over balconys they have a lot of window`s that have to be done everytime.

I have lost one job from going WFP in 5 years, at the beginning after not using a ladder for some time (weeks or months) I felt unsafe, which is not good! as I employ as well, so I made a decision that I would build a business with out ladders, so it can be done

Poleman i think your approach is right say no to ladders,i was only saying that for me certain jobs dictate a ladder at times where it is safe of course.I think your van looks superb and is well worth the money as it`s hard to miss on the road,a name and something that sticks in your mind while on the road is what your looking for in van advertising.
