Isopropanol,,,,,,,Once Again
« on: March 05, 2008, 09:06:13 pm »
Is there anyone on the group that have found Isopropanol has made
No difference at all? I`ve used it in various degrees of dilution rates
In both `virgin`000ppm rainwater and tap water that had gone thru`
My RO unit….Not a blind bit of difference or improvement. Can
Anyone with success at it point out anything I might be doing wrong?

You have to put it straight into the top of your tank in the van neat, you don`t add it to the water before RO,ooopppps.

BS 1595 is the benchmark for litho grades,i think "surgical alcohol" is an ethanol of some sort and is different to what you need to use

The thing is, pure water seems to work ok so if you spend out on some iso your going to be convinced it's better no? Would be interesting to do a placebo experiment on this.

we did not spend any money,i went out later on the day we got some and tried it,it certainly stopped the water freezing and imo made it sheet more readily, next morning i got a text from marcus...."this stuff is wicked",i had not voiced any opinion to him so he was not influenced by my thoughts and we had not spent out on it.I thought it made a difference :)
