New prowler
« on: March 05, 2008, 03:49:30 pm »
Recently traded my prowler in for the newer version.Let me say there are quite a few improvements.Better heat and my old one was good too but this one even better.Safety cuts outs if you run out of water, different by-pass set up does not dump as much as the old one.Plenty space in rear of van too for other bits and pieces.New van coming Friday so thats why not everything in van just essentials.

Hopefully John will have the 15hp version at the CCDO  wish I'd hung on as the 15hp sounds the dogs dangly bits.

Believe it will be ready for use at the CCDO. fingers crossed.

I would have thought the noise would be a good thing. Would certainly get people lookjing out of their windows. (or high rises if you are in Peterlee eh Steve)

This machine is quieter than my other one.Waste not a problem most turns to steam after going through the blower.

John wanted it as a spare to be able to loan out if anything does go wrong with someone's machine which is unlikely but you never know.

trying to deal with the prowler dealer here is a real pain,he's in melbourne and me adelaide, wont send one over unless it's paid for,and the ones he's got are a year old,and he still wants $14,950. for them.
sounds like a back yarder, wants me to fly over for the day,it's all getting too hard.Might just go for the spitfire for a couple of grand more,at least i'll know i'll get good service,it's a pity,i really wanted to try one.

John Kelly took Steve Gunns "old" one and last I heared was keeping it for service exchange etc.

Apart from that - Newcastle to Adelaide is a long way
