first day wfp
« on: March 04, 2008, 05:51:40 pm »
hi

fantastic ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. did get a bit of spotting at first but I think the squeegee will only be used on the in sides from now. I originally only bought the wfp system for hard to reach windows above steaply pitch roofs and conservertory roofs. Didn't think  it would work quite as well as it did.

Ground hog   . i need a van mount! ;D

Give it a year and you`ll cringe at the way you used to clean window`s.

why did they complain about that, rain falls on those bits too surely?

Speed, it all depends on the type of properties you are cleaning.

Sorry Helen,  she ment on the inside! some how the water had gone through somewere which i dont no why! its not old wood windows and even then it doesnt flow fru loads does it? she said she was wiping up for 30mins  ::) i did next door and he aparently said there was water under his mat it was a stable door which i could understand. there other nabour said i was using a jet wash ???.

She then complained about i hadnt cleaned her window on the roof? i said well i didnt no you had a velux roof window! and she never told me aparently its right on the roof so why would i look there if i havent been told to price that window up >:(. She said maybe you could clean it with your "jet wash thing"

I Dont no she moans about me using it but whats me 2 clean her roof window with it...

Helen, at the moment i just been using it on 3 bed semi's and leaded windows untill i catch up with work. i seem to be around 10 15mins slower per house i am using a trolley system maybe its my setting up i dont know.

You will get much quicker wfp in time BUT don't assume that wfp is quicker than trad on all work cos' it aint ;)

Even with newish wooden frames the seals are not always as good as plastic frames. There is also the possibility that if you have one wooden frame directly above another then the water can run down off the top frame and go in between the top of the lower pane and the frame. i have a few like this.
The trick is to 'Read' the windows. It's hard to explain on here but with experience you will learn. In the meantime avoid getting any water above the frame, keep it to the glass and only just onto frame above it (Not all the frame).

methinks the lady does exaggerate :)

Doing doors wfp can lead to all sorts of problems

She then complained about i hadnt cleaned her window on the roof? i said well i didnt no you had a velux roof window! and she never told me aparently its right on the roof so why would i look there if i havent been told to price that window up >:(. Have learnt to look for velux and include in original quote, bet you will now :)
Educate her away from jet wash, there should be nothing that compares a wfp to jet wash

I Dont no she moans about me using it but whats me 2 clean her roof window with it...

Then she is not unhappy with your service :)

Try securing your trolley into your vehicle and getting longer hoses, diy van mount :)

Water can still get inside PVC aswell,on some of them where you have 3 top openers in a row they can still leak if you scrub to much on the top frame of the window`s underneath them.

Thanks for the coments.

I am going to make it into a van mount soon early summer ;D i imagine that would be faster too as its just a case of pulling hose out  and pole! Then winding up when finished job.

they were wooden sash windows varnished brown looking but with square panes of glass 4 windows to one opening top bit and 2 to the bottom i think but they didnt slide down over each other the top part opened out.

These were first cleans today anyway she did ask to cancel but i dont no whats going on now shes going to talk to her nabour aparently mite just be better to do these trad.  :(
