"none of the pumps on this page are suitable for window cleaning applications" why ??? is there a difference  ??? or are they just covering them selves.

Just covering themselves.  Supposing you buy a pump from them, and before the pump even sees a window it's not working, as long as they know you bought it for the purpose of window cleaning they won't replace it.

its mainly because a year or 2 ago, people were buying them and the pressure switch was going on them, thus they have added that

We carry extra pumps for when one packs up.

I bought two a while ago - only put them on the vans recently - before we cleaned a window both pressure switches cream crackered - reputable supplier as well >:(

Strange, they usually only need replaced if the pump is rapidly stopping and starting, and even then not straight away.  You can buy the pressure switches from Maplins for a couple of pounds though.

Most pumps will be for use on Agricultural Spraying and will only have motors on them for Intermittant use only.

For Water Fed Pole Systems its best to have a continuously rated motor on the end of the pump as it seems most of you windowcleaners never take a tea break!

To stop pressure switch failures, fit a Varistream.
