Microbore & tap
« on: February 27, 2008, 12:08:44 am »
when using a a tab valve on the end of your microbore hose or pole hose and using a varistream can you use the tap at the pole to control flow? what i mean i no you can turn the tap on and off to stop the pump but i can control the floww of water with the tap too?

also when i shut the pole off total water stop with the valve tap the varistream flashes from red to green all the time is that normal? just want to make sure dont want to damage anything

yes, when the valve is nearly fully closed, you can slow the flow down i usually keep the valve in my hand whilst holding the pole.
the varistream will shutoff the pump when fully closed, and will cycle on and off to see if it should turn itself back on again whether you have opened the valve or not.

No it wont damage it, it is just the varistream keeping the pressure built up in your system.

ive got the digital varistream and was abit worried when mine was doing the same but its just the thing working on and off ,.....my battery started going flat which just made the varistream go into disco light overdrive and i was convinced that it was broke but all was fine battery recharged

Yes, I use the valve tap to control the flow, but you cant increase it, so set the varistream above what you need, if you get what I mean! Luke
