Open a new document in Word. Type the address as you would wish to see it on the envelope (i.e. name, and each part of the address on a new line). Highlight the whole address. Alternatively, if you've typed the address as part of a letter just highlight the address bit.
From the Tools menu on the Toolbar, click on Envelopes and Labels. Click on the Options button to choose your envelope size - I usually use DL, which is the standard, long, envelope and C5, which is half an A4 size.
The address for the DL envelope should print out without changing any of the "left" and "top" settings (I place all envelopes face up in the auxillary tray on my printer). For the C5 (half A4) size, I fiddle around with the Delivery address - change from "auto" to 3" from left and 3" from Top. I don't bother with a Return address but that is easy to do. When you are changing these settings you can see from the 'example' where the address should appear!
Hope this helps!
