Is anyone busy ( truth)
« on: February 25, 2008, 10:52:06 am »
Hi Guys

I like to think that we are always busy, always 6 days a week sometimes 7, 3 or 4 jobs a day, ( not weekends ) But at the moment I'm lucky to be doing 1 or 2 small jobs! Whats going on? I still advertise in the same way. I knows its Feb but I didnt expect to be down on last year but if it carries on I will be! Is it only me?

Cheers

Justin

Not really busy by a long shot, ticking over getting quite a few enq`s but all price shoppers.Would rather do one decent earning job than a load of small ones though to be honest.Just quoted £190. for 2x2 seaters  1 x recliner  and an ottoman.
See if she calls back.
Got a 2 bed job tomorrow white carpet £134.Quoted  for this before xmas last year ! letting agy i work for o me £300. so am ok for a while.Much better than it was this time last year

had a great start to the year, booked for a week a head apart from some small spaces.

Plus I'm booking an extra job at the end of the day instead of finishing at 2.30ish.

I've decided this is going to be the year when I make it big :D :D

i seem to be the same as most others, really busy in january and into feb but last week went quiet, i've got work every day but finished by lunchtime, i normally have enough work to work until 4-ish at least, still, that's the nice thing about working by myself, no need to panic, i'm getting all the little jobs done that her indoors wants doing!

Feb has been very busy, busier than any month last year except november and Dec.
Sent all customers a letter middle of Jan offering 15% off all work carried out in Feb because last year was dire, and it seems to have worked, seems also that yellow pages is working had 27 jobs since Xmas, then a few refferalls from those jobs so hopefully this year will be a good one. Seems to me people are keeping the carpets they already have instead of splashing out on new maybe its theoutlook on the economy.
