Any ideas how much for this?
« on: February 24, 2008, 05:28:08 pm »
I've got a school to do inside and out.
How much do you think?  Hasn't been done for 3 years!
But it'll come up alright.

Nice pics, but impossible to put an accurate figure on it without actually going to see it.  Doing insides makes it even more difficult, as you have to allow for moving all sorts of stuff to get at the glass.  Then there's the partitions - you have to do them both sides.

I haven't done schools like this since 1972, and in those days a three story version would take two of us a day to do, in out and all the "tish"  Leather and scrim both sides, and between us we were paid......................

..........................................£10 ::)

Sorry, not much help I know, it just pushed my nostalgia button ;D

start at your day rate and add 50% and then some for the fact that it will take you a month to get your money in from the school

at least £250
that would be for  wfp on the outs and two men on the ins

is it in the hoildays or over the weekend ?
weekend work !!!
a few more shillings

looks like lots of tedious tradding on the insides, and the painted frames will probably flake off loads when wfping.
id do it per how long per hour i think, looks like 5 hours for the lot hourly rate x 5?

I clean one similar to this inside and out and charge £50. Takes me just under 2 hours including chatting up the teachers. If you look at the photos, there aint that many windows.

If it was the first clean I would charge £100 and would expect to finish in under 4 hours.

Jerry.

How would that take one man 9 hours (3 pep x 3)???

Pricewise we will never agree on but mantime surely its a max of 4 hours (1 man) and thats being generous.

bob

the formula does not work out like that

the quote was my opinion

1 man/woman  outs wfp =1 hour

2 men/women ins trade -2hours

because the windows will not be cleared guaranteed

Thanks guys.
Keep 'em coming, very helpful. ;)

They have promised to clear all obstacles and take down all posters.  As you can see some windows are covered inside with bits of selotape

So prices varying from £50 - £275!! :o
