Steam Cleaner
« on: February 14, 2008, 09:20:01 pm »
Hi

Has anyone used a steam cleaner such as Robby - Matrix etc.

Currently managed to get some work cleaning refrigerator units in Supermarkets
and i am  looking at improving methods of cleaning - to speed up process.

Is this kit worth the expense

Hi

i use a domestic steam cleaner  I got from Argos at £80. does a good job. You can get them cheaper from Ebay, it's the Vax one.

Got that one as well - recommended. Great on showers which you can clean without the use of any cleaning materials.

We bought one of these a while ago and must be doing something wrong as it didnt seem very good at all.  Should it remove all limescale and body fats from shower screens etc?

Not sure it would remove limescale, but it certainly removes body fats and other associated muck. I did find that it struggled with one of our customer's showers though and I had to give it a clean with Mr Muscle.

I find that if I steam clean showers every four weeks or so, they are easier to clean afterwards. Maybe cleaners leave a film on the screens, who knows, but they are certainly easier to clean.
