Anyway when you clear out the Di the stuff has to go somewhere in my case its on the ground near the drain so that's where it happy going, just flush it well.I did try putting it on the garden, but is doesnt rot down. i just empty the water from di cotainer down drain n pour the old resin in a bag and bin it.. thats when the resin doesnt come out down dran when pouring the excess water out lol
