When you repalce your motors on a twin vac do you replace them one at a time as they break down.?

Or one out all out.

Going to be expensive on tri vacs?

Personally I only change them one at a time when they break.

If you follow the manufacturers instructions including allowing vac motors to breath ie leaving the recovery tank open when the machine is in storage vac problems can be kept to a minimum. This applies to all carpet extraction machines.

 why would you want to replace all the motors if you only have a problem with one?

IMHO and from experiencewhen 1 goes it doesnt take long for the other to follow.

If you keep 1 with you and its easy to fit then no prob.

I was advised it is best to change both at the same time as the newer one puts more stain on the older one. So I ordered two but will keep the good one which is not very old as a spare.

Just wanted to know what you thought to the extra strain theory.
