« on: February 13, 2008, 07:30:44 pm »
  Hi everyone,

A friend of mine hase been asked to clean his local church windows, but it seems that the lead in the windows has stained the glass,

So my question is ............ will this stain come off, if so what with?

They have tried with sugar soap but no good

Many thanks

Your next post will be 365. Which is about how many days it will take to do all that by hand.
In all seriousness if you don't know what you are doing leave well alone. MDR will work as it is a mild abrasive but you will have to be super careful and prepared for a long long job.

And if you do get it wrong will your insurance cover the replacement window - check your policy before you proceed

church windows are a pain in the neck.
I do 1 near me twice a year but take no cash for it. It leaks like a sieve all over the place.
Very fragile too.
