Polish ceramic tiles?
« on: December 02, 2004, 10:46:17 pm »
I have been asked by a client to clean and polish the victorian tile floor she has discovered in her hall way.
Cleaning shouldn't be too difficult....gives me a chance to try out some solutions samples i have. But she also wants them polishing.... is this the norm with ceramic tiles? Would i use the metalised floor polishes that i use on vinyl flooring?
It's a first for me so if any buddies out there have a solution to this would you kindly share it with me?
Cheers, John

Hi

I have a victorian tile floor in my hall aren't they the bees knees!  ;D

Yes you can polish these, the tiles can be very porous so make sure they are sealed, use a high solids polish 25%.  I suggest using lots of light coatings of polish - I did 4 coats and it looks great.

Hope that helps
